Alt symbols on laptop

laptop alt codes
This article is for those who have a laptop and really want to input alt symbols that are usually input with a number pad. Of course you can just plug in your external keyboard but guys that made your laptop keyboard knew you may want a number pad some day, so they made one "inside" your keyboard. Look at the picture to the left then look at your laptop keyboard. If there really are those small numbers on the bottom right side of the corresponding keys of your keyboard - great that's your little num pad. If there aren't (maybe because you changed prints on your keys or they've erased with time or smth. else) - then look at the photo and well.. imagine that's the photo of your keyboard =) Most likely those keys are your num pad keys anyway.
Firstly you need to know alt codes of symbols you want to type on laptop. And secondly, here is what you have to know and do:
Alt codes typing - Num Key Pad keys on laptop  Laptops have a Function key (FN) - it's usually blue.
Some of your keys probably have NumPad key numbers on the bottom right.

To type laptop symbols

  • enable Num Lock that's FN+ScrLck on some laptops
  • hold Alt key
  • input alt codes on those keys to input special symbols.
  • If it doesn't work try FN+Alt instead of just Alt key.
Of course, you can always just copy them or my Unicode facebook symbols like 웃유Σ⊗♒☠, witch may seem even cooler to you. ;)
