What 𔑭 means
It is a catalogue variant of the ancient dog sign.
“canis2” is the sign-list label for this form. The hieroglyphic script wrote Luwian, an ancient language of Anatolia (roughly present-day Turkey).
The signs developed from pictures and appear on seals and carved public monuments. Royal use supported public Luwian writing and political unity in the kingdom. Its fully developed use is attested around 1350–1200 BCE. Older references called the script “Hittite hieroglyphs.” The two-language inscription at Karatepe, found in 1946, helped confirm readings of Luwian hieroglyphs.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𔑭 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
