What 𓃗 means
It wrote horse words, including the word for “horse.” Egyptology’s spellings ssmt (“horse”) and ibr (“stallion”) both use Gardiner E6. It can spell a horse word or serve as its determinative—a final picture-sign that narrows the word’s meaning.
The Egyptian word ḥtr is attested for a team or yoke of oxen from 2345 BCE; its “team of horses” sense is attested from 1539 BCE. E6 appears with ḥtr in horse-team spellings, a word-level link rather than descent from another sign.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𓃗 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
