What 𐔡 means
It represents Albanian /dz/, written x in modern Albanian.
The Albanian letter x is a useful guide to its sound; the English letter name “ex” is not.
Why was the Elbasan alphabet created?
It was made to write Albanian in a dedicated script.
Devised around 1750, the Elbasan script is best known through the Elbasan Gospel manuscript of 1761, an Orthodox Christian translation of Gospel passages into Albanian.
Albanian was also written in Latin, Greek and Arabic scripts in different communities, and other original alphabets were developed. Most Elbasan letter forms were newly made, though some may show Greek or Cyrillic influence.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𐔡 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Elbasan block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
