Georgian Small Letter Jil

28/40

ⴛ is the Nuskhuri form of Georgian dzili, with one “dz” sound. Nuskhuri grew from Asomtavruli in the 9th century to make manuscript writing quicker; its earliest known example is in the Sinai Homiliary, a collection of religious readings dated 864. As of 2026, it is chiefly found in the Georgian Orthodox Church and historical writing.
