What 𐣿 means
It marks one hundred in a Hatran number.
Hatran numerals combine signs for 1, 5, 10, 20 and 100. The sequence for 101 is written right to left: 100 followed by 1.
How did Hatran numerals develop?
The system grew from an older Aramaic numeral tradition.
Hatran inscriptions date from 98–97 BCE to about 241 CE. Evidence includes graffiti, stone inscriptions, ostraca (pottery fragments used for writing), and economic records.
Its signs for 1, 10 and 20 resemble older Aramaic forms; 5 matches Old Syriac, another Aramaic writing tradition. The 100 sign’s origin is unsettled; a link to Phoenician numerals has been proposed. After Hatra fell, Middle Persian numerals replaced the system.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𐣿 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Hatran block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
