What 𐜄 means
A601 has no established word or sound value. Linear A signs can represent syllables or whole words. Linear B, a later related script, suggests sounds for some signs but cannot decode A601.
Linear A appears on Crete by about 1900 BCE, alongside Cretan hieroglyphs, a separate script. It supplied much of Linear B's repertoire; Linear B recorded Mycenaean Greek, an early form of Greek. Linear A records include goods and people lists and religious or practical inscriptions.
