What 𐜕 means
No secure standalone reading for A620 was established by 2025.
Unicode's A620 label follows GORILA, a modern sign catalogue. Linear A likely arose on Crete with Near Eastern influence; by the 18th century BC it appears mainly at Phaistos, then across Crete and the Aegean. Cretan Hieroglyphic was separate and partly contemporary (18th–17th centuries BC), not Linear A's ancestor. Linear B descended from Linear A; its borrowed sound values are conventional. Cypriot syllabaries probably descended from Linear A too.
