What 𐀜 means
It spells the syllable “no,” not a whole word. Linear B wrote Mycenaean Greek, an early form of Greek, with signs for individual syllables; here “no” is the sign’s sound reading, not an English answer.
Linear B was adapted from Linear A to write Mycenaean Greek and likely took shape around the 15th century BCE. The oldest group of Linear B texts at Knossos dates to the end of the 15th or beginning of the 14th century BCE.
The sequence 𐀒𐀜𐀰 is the Linear B spelling of Knossos, transcribed ko-no-so. Recognizing the place-name helped Michael Ventris decipher the script; 𐀜 is the middle syllable.
What did Linear B record?
It mainly served palace administration. Clay tablets, labels and small clay nodules recorded goods and transactions; marks on transport jars identified goods, places or people involved in production.
These were working records, usually left to dry rather than deliberately fired. Fires that destroyed palace buildings accidentally baked many clay tablets, preserving records that otherwise might not have survived.
A specialist sign from an ancient script; its syllabic reading belongs inside historical Linear B spelling.

1Questions people ask
2Why is Linear B B052 No a square?
A font without the glyph is the likeliest cause. This is a text character; without Linear B coverage, a renderer may show a box or fallback mark.
Is Linear B B052 No safe to send to a boss?
No. It is a syllable sign in an ancient spelling system, so a colleague is unlikely to read it as an ordinary refusal. Use plain words for a work answer.
