What 𐤧 means
It writes the y-sound inside Lydian words; by itself it says nothing.
Most surviving Lydian texts are tomb inscriptions from Sardis, the capital; decrees, graffiti, coin legends, and verse also survive — longer ones in the fifth and fourth centuries BCE.
The alphabet probably derives from an East Greek model; this sign may echo a letter of the neighbouring Carian script — the link is unsettled. As of 2026 it has no modern folk meaning.
