What 𐧏 means
It represents seventy in Meroitic numerals. The sign belongs to the cursive script for the Meroitic language of Kush.
Meroitic Cursive developed partly from Demotic, a cursive Egyptian script, and served general writing. A separate Meroitic hieroglyphic script marked royal monuments and temples. The earliest dated cursive text, from about 200 BCE, names King Arnekhamani.
After the fourth century CE, the Nubian language gradually replaced Meroitic. By the sixth century, the Coptic script had superseded the Meroitic scripts and adopted three Cursive signs for writing Nubian.
Historical numeral; suited to Meroitic number contexts.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
