What 𐧤 means
It marks the ten-thousand rank. Signs one through nine combine with rank signs to form larger values.
General writing in Kush, south of Egypt, used Meroitic Cursive, shaped by Demotic, an Egyptian cursive script. Its numerals echo late hieratic writing, also cursive, but are no simple copy. They run right to left. Akinidad’s stone inscription preserves the system in the late first century BCE.
Meroitic scripts date from around the second century BCE to the fourth century CE. After the fourth century, Nubian gradually replaced the language; by the sixth, Coptic had replaced the scripts, borrowing three signs to write Nubian.
A historical number sign with specialist context.
Without numeral context, its value is not self-evident.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𐧤 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
