What 🅅 means
A plain capital V drawn inside a square outline. It belongs to a full boxed alphabet, to , which fancy-text converters use to turn ordinary words into squared lettering for usernames, profile bios and post titles. Because it is a text character rather than an emoji, its look depends on your font, most often a simple outlined box in the text colour.
Some squared Latin letters first entered Unicode from Japanese digital-broadcasting character sets, where they marked on-screen labels. 🅅 wasn't among them: it arrived in 2010, when Irish and German standards bodies proposed filling in the rest of the A–Z set.
Is it safe to use instead of a normal V?
For decoration yes; where it must be found or read aloud, no. Searching for "vote" may not find 🅅, screen readers may skip each letter or announce it by a long name, and software that cleans up text can quietly turn it back into a plain V. Devices without a fitting font show an empty box or another placeholder instead. Keep plain letters for names people need to find or type.

4Questions people ask
2Is 🅅 an emoji?
No. It is a text symbol, so it has no colourful emoji version and looks like whatever font displays it.
Why do I see an empty box instead of 🅅?
Your device's fonts don't include it. Updating the system or viewing on another device helps when that system has a font with the character.
