What 𐄌 means
It served counting in Bronze Age Cretan administration. This Minoan numeral belonged to a record-keeping setting where clay tablets, sealings (clay impressions made with seals) and small clay discs tracked quantities, goods and transactions. As of 2026, Linear A remains undeciphered; Cretan Hieroglyphic was another local writing system, and its resemblance to Egyptian hieroglyphs is not evidence of direct borrowing. Later, Linear B adapted Linear A to write Mycenaean Greek.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𐄌 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
