What ⣖ means
Its dots need a code for a reading.
Braille cells group raised dots a blind reader can feel with one fingertip. As Braille spread, competing raised-dot codes adapted to many languages, each assigning patterns their own values.
Charles Barbier brought a raised-dot system to a Paris institution in 1821. Louis Braille reshaped it into a six-dot cell; his alphabet appeared in 1829. Unicode includes patterns beyond six dots for digital text.
Technical: the Braille code determines this pattern's reading.
A lone pattern does not name one universal letter.
