What 𐊫 means
Use Unicode hex input with 102AB or a dedicated Carian layout.
The platform-specific steps are in the typing entries. If 𐊫 appears as a square, the font lacks a Carian glyph; choose one with coverage for the script.
What sound does 𐊫 represent?
It marks the o vowel in the Carian alphabet.
Carian was an ancient language of southwestern Anatolia, written with its own alphabet. An early example is an inscription on a small figurine of the Egyptian goddess Isis, bearing Pharaoh Psammetichus I’s name. Many Carian inscriptions come from Egypt, where Carian mercenaries settled; inscriptions also survive in Caria.
Is 𐊫 the Greek letter Ο?
No: it is Carian, though it shares Greek omicron’s o sound.
Greek omicron (Ο) and 𐊫 are separate script characters. Their matching vowel value is one of a small number of Carian–Greek matches. Many other Carian signs that resemble Greek letters have different sounds. Bilingual inscriptions pairing Carian with Egyptian, and a Carian–Greek text from Kaunos, gave scholars ways to test readings against another language.
Carian inscriptions in Caria usually run left to right; those from Egypt usually run right to left. Word dividers are irregular and continuous writing is common, so an inscription may not show where one word ends and the next begins.

1Why does 𐊫 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
