What 𒐒 means
Seven U; the measuring system sets its value.
It combines seven with U, a cuneiform sign for ten: 7(u) means 70 in mathematics. In an area system, it can mean seven bur₃, a unit of area.
The notation grew from Late Uruk administration and measurement. At archaic Ur, related systems covered areas, grain, livestock, wood, and containers. The U sign 𒌋 is its building block; 𒐌 Seven Dish belongs to another family.
