What 𒔱 means
It identifies a sign form; the text supplies its reading.
Cuneiform is an ancient writing system made with wedge-shaped marks, often pressed into clay. Early tablets, around 3300 BCE, recorded goods such as grain distributed by a temple; by the first half of the third millennium BCE, writing also carried Sumerian and poetry.
Sign lists group forms and record their attested values. Cuneiform names often describe a sign's structure rather than translate a word. Reference glyphs reflect particular historical styles; signs could be redrawn, split, or merged across periods. A modern font cannot show every tablet form. Check a period-specific sign list and the surrounding text before assigning 𒔱 a reading.
Best suited to a scholarly or historical-text context, where its reading can be checked against the text.
“Sha6 tenu” names a sign form; it is not a word translation.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𒔱 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Early Dynastic Cuneiform block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
