What 𐠑 means
It records the open syllable “li,” not a whole word.
Each Cypriot syllabogram writes one consonant-vowel unit; 𐠑 adds “li” to a word.
An inscription on bronze spits from an 11th-century BCE tomb at Skales near Palaepaphos is the earliest proposed evidence; the better-established corpus begins in the 8th century BCE. The syllabary is related to Cypro-Minoan and Linear B. During the Hellenistic period, it remained in local and religious use at Kafizin as alphabetic Greek took over official texts.
Someone sent me 𐠑—what should I read?
Treat it as a script sample, not a reaction.
Alone, it gives no modern word or mood; ask for neighboring signs or a transliteration. Cypriot writing generally ran right to left, so a mixed Latin-and-Cypriot line can look misplaced.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𐠑 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
