What 𐔇 means
It represents Albanian “e” in the Elbasan alphabet.
The Elbasan alphabet was created around 1750 to write Albanian. One surviving example is the Elbasan Gospel Manuscript, a handwritten Gospel text made at St Jovan Vladimir's Church and dated 1761.
The script's letterforms were largely devised for it; some have been linked tentatively to Greek or Cyrillic forms. That proposed influence concerns the script as a whole, not a proven source for Ei.
Why is 𐔇 not 𐔈?
They stand for different Albanian letters: e and ë.
The Unicode naming proposal maps EI to modern Albanian e and Elbasan E 𐔈 to ë. The names identify two distinct letters in the Elbasan alphabet.
