What ⴉ means
Its everyday Mkhedruli counterpart is the Georgian letter კ.
Nuskhuri is one of three Georgian scripts. It developed from inscriptional Asomtavruli for faster manuscript writing as book demand grew. Its slanted letters could flow without lifting the pen.
Together, Asomtavruli capitals and Nuskhuri text formed Khutsuri. The oldest known Nuskhuri inscription is the Sinai Homiliary, a sermon collection dated 864 AD. Mkhedruli became everyday writing; the older scripts became chiefly ecclesiastical.
Historical and manuscript-based, chiefly associated with church texts.
For ordinary modern Georgian, use its Mkhedruli counterpart კ.

1Why does ⴉ show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Georgian Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
