What 𞲀 means
In an account, this one mark carries the value 70. Siyaq figures were stylized shortenings of number names; in South Asia the system was also called raqm or rakam, Arabic for “account.”
Its paper trail
Persian accounts for 918–919 survive in a later copy; a surviving Persian receipt documents Siyaq in 1169. Neither date tells when the Indic branch began. Indic Siyaq was common under the Mughals by the 17th century and remained in use into the mid-20th century.
Siyaq spread through Safavid and Ottoman bureaucracies and among merchants and landholders. Ottoman 𞴐 is a related but separate regional sign for seventy.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𞲀 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
