What ⩝ means
It is the horizontal-dash form of logical OR.
MathML is a markup language for formulas on the web. In the 2003 MathML 2 ISOTECH table, ∨ has the entity name or and ⩝ has the name ord, glossed as “or, horizontal dash.”

1Why does ⩝ show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
