What 𐧠 means
It marks a value of six thousand. Used in Kush, an ancient kingdom, Meroitic numerals had signs from units through 100,000 and fractions based on twelfths. Cursive forms marked documents, accounts, and funerary labels; related hieroglyphs appeared on temples and royal monuments.
Cursive Meroitic developed partly from Egyptian Demotic, a cursive Egyptian script, by at least the 3rd century BCE. A text dated around 200 BCE names King Arnekhamani. By the sixth century CE, Meroitic writing had given way to Nubian written in Coptic, an adapted alphabet. Three Meroitic Cursive signs were borrowed to write Nubian; this numeral was not one of them.

1Why does 𐧠 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
