What ⦧ means
A drawn oblique angle, used where a text defines it.
Read the name literally: "oblique" means slanted, not a right angle, and "opening down" says the gap between the two arms faces downward. It sits in a Unicode block of extra mathematical symbols collected so that the characters used in scientific fonts and in web maths (MathML) could all be written as text. Its partner opens upward.
Unlike , which every school textbook uses for "angle", ⦧ has no standard reading. If you meet it in a paper or worksheet, look for where the author introduces it; usually it marks a particular kind of angle or a relation between two quantities in that author's notation.

2Is ⦧ the same as the angle sign ?
No. is the standard sign for "angle" in geometry. ⦧ is a separate, rarer symbol, and a search for one will not find the other.
Will it show in every font?
Not always. Fonts with broad maths coverage, such as Cambria Math or STIX, draw it; others may show an empty box.
