What 𐍳 means
It stands for a “yoo” sound.
“Ju” and “yu” are Latin spellings of its sound. Stefan of Perm devised the alphabet in the 14th century for Christian texts in the Komi and Komi-Permyak languages. The oldest surviving record is an inscription on a 14th-century religious icon; word explanations and monument inscriptions also survive. It follows Greek and Cyrillic letter order and includes Komi tamga (local emblems).
Komi use continued into the 17th century. From the 15th century, the script also encoded Russian text for readers unfamiliar with Old Permic.
