What 𑪛 means
It marks the end of a phrase or syllable. Tsheg 𑪚 separates syllables; double shad 𑪜 closes a text section.
Soyombo is a historic writing system. The Buddhist leader Zanabazar created it in 1686; it was used to write Mongolian, Sanskrit, and Tibetan, mainly in Central Asian Buddhist texts. This shad corresponds to Tibetan shad ། and Devanagari danda ।.
Its exact shape depends on the font; the font must support Soyombo to display it.
Mongolia’s national emblem is 𑪞, not this punctuation mark.
