What 🆣 means
It means 60 frames per second in progressive scan.
Progressive scan reads every line of a frame together; interlaced video reads odd and even lines alternately. This boxed mark is a video-format tag, not a screen-resolution number.
This mark was built for broadcast listings
Japan's Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) included the mark in its STD-B62 digital-TV standard by 2014; in 2015, Japan proposed a Unicode character for it and related TV labels.
The labels identify ultra-high-definition TV features in electronic program guides—the on-screen listings—and were designed so that information could travel as text between televisions, computers, and phones.
Technical and literal: use it beside a video specification or TV-program listing.

Questions people ask
1Why does 🆣 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
