What ⩫ means
Its reading depends on the notation using it.
MathML classifies ⩫ as an infix operator: it sits between expressions. That tells you its position, not its meaning; the notation must define the relation.
STIX sought a shared set of math symbols for publishing, markup, software, and plain text. Unicode/STIX documents from 2000 and 2001 describe that goal.
Questions people ask
1Why does ⩫ show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
