What ⩁ means
It means bag subtraction in Z notation. A bag, or multiset, records how many copies of each item it contains. Subtract matching counts from one bag by the counts in the other; a count cannot go below zero.
Z is a formal notation for describing computer systems; its mathematical conventions were proposed around 1981.
Use ⩁ only when the notation defines its bag meaning. For ordinary sets, follow the document's set-difference notation.
