What ⍘ means
APL uses compact symbols to express operations on data. APL is a programming language that works with arrays: collections of values arranged as lists or tables, for example. Its character repertoire includes symbols built from familiar marks combined with bars and other strokes.
⍘ appears in the 1999 APL character repertoire, intended to let programs represent and exchange APL characters consistently. Inclusion in that repertoire does not assign it one operation across all APL systems. When reading code, use the documentation for that system to establish its function; the shape alone is not an instruction.

Questions people ask
1Is ⍘ the APL decode symbol?
Do not assume so. APLX’s version 5.0 manual (2009) uses for decode: converting digits in a number system, such as binary, into their value. That does not establish a decode function for ⍘.

⍘\2358Why is ⍘ a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
Codes and encoding1 code points
A visible symbol can contain several code points. JS .length counts UTF-16 units; UTF-8 counts bytes.
