𞸚 is the stand-alone mathematical form of Arabic ẓāʾ (ظ), used as a letter-like symbol in Arabic-script equations. The formula supplies its role; the character has no fixed mathematical value by itself. Arabic math preserves letter styles as separate characters, so this form stays unjoined while other versions stretch or loop the same letter.

Why does 𞸚 show as a box on some devices?

Not every system ships a font for the Arabic Mathematical Alphabetic Symbols block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
