What ㊜ means
It means “suitable” or “approved,” usually as a formal mark.
In Japan, 丸適マーク names formal approvals. A mark for ready-mix concrete plants (where concrete is mixed before delivery) went to plants that passed a quality audit; the industry's nationwide common mark sheet began in 2000. A separate fire-safety mark for hotels and theaters began in 1981.
The Greater Osaka Ready-Mix Concrete Cooperative announced in 2024 that it would stop affixing its mark stickers. A ㊜ on a product or facility points to a particular approval system; it does not tell you what every issuer checked.
What does it mean if someone sends ㊜?
It signals approval only when the message gives it an institutional context.
In a Japanese note about a product, concrete supplier, hotel, theater, or inspection, it can signal suitability or compliance. Without that cue, ask what is being approved.
Formal and niche: it reads like an institutional compliance mark.
In casual approval, it can imply official certification; say what kind of approval you mean.
