What 𒑛 means
It records two-thirds; its Sumerian reading is šanabi. The value is attested from Early Dynastic IIIb, an early period of Sumerian history. Older texts from Nippur, a Mesopotamian city, spell its syllables with sound signs; later scribes use numeric forms, sometimes adding an explanatory note.
In Mesopotamian weight records, it first stood for two-thirds of a mina, a weight unit; later, it served other measures and calculations. Sumerian šanabi derives from older Akkadian šinipu, a form from another Mesopotamian language. The series includes 𒑚 for one-third, 𒑜 for five-sixths, and 𒑞 as its curved counterpart.

1Why does 𒑛 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Cuneiform Numbers and Punctuation block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
