What ⚌ means
Both lines are yang; together they represent Greater Yang.
The I Ching is an ancient Chinese classic used for divination and philosophical reflection. Its diagrams use solid lines for yang and broken lines for yin. These are complementary aspects of change: yang is associated with activity and yin with receptivity.
A digram is a figure of two stacked lines. Choosing yin or yang for each line gives four patterns, traditionally called the Four Images; ⚌ is the one with two yang lines. Three-line figures are called trigrams and six-line figures hexagrams. The hexagrams form the basis of I Ching readings.
A traditional Chinese diagram symbol, suited to discussion of the I Ching and yin–yang theory.
It represents a specific yang pattern, not balance in general.
