What 앻 means
It is a Hangul syllable block, not a word. Its Hangul jamo (letters) are ㅇ, ㅐ, and ㅎ: ㅇ is silent initially, ㅐ the vowel, and ㅎ the final consonant.
Hangul was devised under King Sejong in 1443; a 1446 Hunminjeongeum guide explained its alphabet. Idu, Gugyeol, and Hyangchal were earlier systems that adapted Chinese characters for Korean.
In older Korean, final ㅎ sometimes weakened or disappeared.
Use it as a character sample or input test.
“Aeh” labels the spelling, not a translation.

Questions people ask
1Why does 앻 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
