What 뿜 means
It is the burst syllable in Korean verbs for sending something out. In 뿜다, it can describe pushing out liquid or gas, giving off light or scent, or releasing strong energy or emotion. The same outward sense appears in 내뿜다 and 뿜어내다, verbs for sending something out.
Hangul, the Korean writing system, was devised under King Sejong in 1443 and introduced in 1446 through Hunminjeongeum, a guide to the new script. 뿜 is a syllable block formed from ㅃ, ㅜ, and ㅁ under Hangul’s design; it has no separate origin as a sign.
In 2012, a Korean news article described 뿜었다 as an online reaction to something unexpectedly funny or absurd, and 격뿜 as an intensified clipped form. MOMOLAND’s 2018 song title 뿜뿜 used repetition to suggest charm radiating outward.
Bare 뿜 reads as clipped and playful; full forms such as 뿜다 or 뿜었다 are clearer outside casual Korean chat.
Do not assume laughter; 뿜 can describe an actual emission.
