What 뻈 means
On a Korean 2-set keyboard, press ShiftQ, ShiftO, then ShiftT.
These keys enter ㅃ, ㅒ, and ㅆ in order; the Korean IME (input method) assembles them into one Hangul syllable block. On another layout, enter the same three jamo in that order.
What does 뻈 mean?
It is a Hangul syllable block, not a standalone word.
As of September 2026, 뻈 has no established standalone word or chat meaning. In ordinary Korean spelling, ㅃ starts the syllable, ㅒ is its vowel, and ㅆ closes it. Unicode's canonical decomposed sequence is ᄈ ᅤ ᆻ, the position-specific jamo forms for those parts; Hangul shaping joins them into the same syllable. Its square arrangement marks a written syllable, not a picture or secret code.
King Sejong introduced Hangul as Hunminjeongeum in 1443. The title means roughly “Correct Sounds for Teaching the People”; a book of the same name, published in 1446, explained the script and its principles. Hangul gave Korean speakers a way to represent speech with consonant and vowel letters, rather than relying on Chinese-character writing that did not map neatly onto Korean.
Neutral as Korean writing; the surrounding word gives the syllable its lexical meaning.
Drift: The name Hangeul appeared in the early 1910s; it spread after the creation holiday changed from Gagyanal (Ga-Gya Day) to Hangeulnal (Hangul Day) in 1928.

Questions people ask
1Why do I see separate jamo instead of 뻈?
The input method may still be assembling the syllable. Unicode also encodes it as the positional sequence 뻈; software that supports Hangul shaping displays that sequence as one block.
