What 삄 means
On Dubeolsik, press ShiftQ, then L, then A.
As of 2026, Dubeolsik maps those keys to ㅃ, ㅣ, and ㅁ. Korean input software combines the letters into one syllable block; other Hangul layouts may place them on different keys.
What does it mean if someone sends 삄?
As of 2026, no standalone chat reading is established.
Read 삄 as one Hangul syllable inside Korean spelling; the surrounding word or sentence supplies the meaning.
Where did Hangul come from?
It was devised in Korea under King Sejong.
Before Hangul, Korean writing borrowed Chinese characters in several ways. They did not fit Korean sounds and grammar neatly and took extensive study. Hangul offered a way to write Korean directly. A historical record mentions 28 letters in 1443; the explanatory book 훈민정음 해례본 was completed in 1446.
A 2009 study proposed a link between Hangul’s vowel designs and the Phags-pa script, commissioned for several languages of the Mongol Empire. This is one proposed connection, not a settled account of Hangul’s origins.
