Hangul syllable Beup

4647/11172

븦 is a Hangul syllable block; alone, it does not tell you what the sender means. It combines ㅂ, ㅡ, and final ㅍ; a Korean input method builds the block when you enter those letters in order. Leave off ㅍ and the result is 브.

What 븦 means

By itself, 븦 is a syllable, not a complete message.

Hangul is the Korean alphabet, where consonant and vowel letters are grouped into syllable blocks. 븦 joins ㅂ at the start, ㅡ as its vowel, and ㅍ at the bottom. The block gives you a syllable, but not enough context to infer what someone means by sending it alone.

Hangul was developed in 1443, and the 1446 Hunminjeongeum manuscript introduced the alphabet. It describes a writing system in which consonants and vowels combine into syllable blocks.

How do I type 븦?

Use a Korean input method and enter ㅂ, then ㅡ, then ㅍ.

On a Korean keyboard with an IME (an input method that builds syllable blocks as you type), enter ㅂ, then ㅡ, then ㅍ. It should compose as 븦. Without final ㅍ, the result is 브.
