What 붹 means
Hangul’s blocks assemble sound-based letters into Korean syllables. 붹 is one block in that system; “bweg” is Unicode’s label for it, not a Korean word or translation.
Hangul’s earliest record is dated to 1443. The 1446 Hunminjeongeum explanation—a guide to the writing system—described writing Korean speech by joining sound parts into syllable blocks. By 1928, Hangeul was widely used as the name for the writing system.
