hangul syllable bweh

Hangul Syllable Bweh

4564/11172

뷓 is a Korean Hangul syllable block, but by itself it gives no message or mood; its meaning comes from the word around it. A Korean input method forms it from the consonant ㅂ, vowel ㅞ, and final consonant ㅎ. Fonts can change how those parts fit inside the block without changing the character.

What 뷓 means

It has no fixed word or reaction meaning on its own.

In Korean writing, 뷓 is one syllable within a word: it helps represent the word's spoken form, while the whole word supplies its meaning. If someone sends this block alone, there is not enough context to infer a mood; ask what Korean word or text it came from.

why was Hangul made?

To represent Korean speech more directly and make reading easier.

Hangul is the Korean writing system. Korean speech has a different structure from Chinese, while earlier writing practices often relied on Chinese characters that did not fit Korean naturally. Hunminjeongeum was designed around Korean language structure and accessible use. The Korean royal chronicle Sejong Sillok first mentions Hunminjeongeum in the twelfth lunar month of 1443; an explanatory book with the same name was published in 1446.

The original name Hunminjeongeum means “Correct Sounds for the Instruction of the People.” Hangeul became widely used as the script's name after 1928. A proposed connection to the Mongolian Phags-pa script rests on similarities in some letter shapes; Hangul's own account of its design makes direct borrowing uncertain.

how do I type 뷓?

Use a Korean input method and enter ㅂ ㅞ ㅎ.

A Korean input method editor (IME) composes those jamo, or letter components, into one syllable block. If it leaves them separate, enable Korean syllable composition.

Fonts can change the internal jamo's shape, size, and placement without changing the underlying character.

By itself, it gives no clear message or tone; read it as a Korean syllable in context.

A lone 뷓 does not give enough context to infer the sender's mood.

1

Why does 뷓 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
