What 첲 means
It gives you one syllable, without a word around it.
Hangul, the Korean writing system, groups letters into syllable blocks. 첲 combines ㅊ as its initial consonant, ㅓ as its vowel, and ㅍ as its final consonant. Inside a Korean word, read it as one part of that word's spelling.
The court chronicle Sejong sillok records Hangul's announcement in 1443. The 1446 text Hunminjeongeum explains the writing system and its principles. Those dates belong to Hangul's history, not to this individual syllable.

1Why does Korean text split into jamo?
Text normalization can decompose a Hangul block into its component letters, called jamo. Unicode treats that sequence and the composed block as equivalent spellings of the same text.
