What 췑 means
Its parts give a syllable, not a word definition. The initial consonant ㅊ, vowel ㅞ and final consonant pair ㄵ form the block. Unicode derives “cwenj” from their component names; it is not a Korean translation.
Hangul was created to write Korean more directly than older systems such as idu, which used Chinese characters to write Korean. Its creation was reported in December 1443; the explanatory guide Hunminjeongeum followed in 1446. Modern Korean spelling follows a 1933 draft, partly revised in 1988.

Questions people ask
1Why does 췑 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
