What 땛 means
Use Korean 2-set input: ShiftE, O, F, G.
The Dubeolsik layout, the Korean 2-set keyboard layout, maps those keys to ㄸ, ㅐ, ㄹ, and ㅎ. A Korean input method (IME) joins final ㄹ ㅎ into ㅀ and displays the result as one syllable block. Outside Korean input mode, the keys produce Latin letters.
Another route is to enter ㄸ ㅐ ㅀ as separate jamo, then normalize the result if your software requires one precomposed character.
What does this Hangul block mean?
It shows a syllable’s structure, not a word’s translation.
땛 combines the tense initial consonant ㄸ, vowel ㅐ, and final consonant cluster ㅀ. These are Hangul letters assembled into one syllable block. Their arrangement tells you how the block is built, not which Korean word or message it belongs to.
Hangul was created in 1443 and explained in 1446 in Hunminjeongeum, a book about its letters and principles. It was intended to make Korean writing more accessible than earlier methods such as Idu, Gugyeol, and Hyangchal, which adapted Chinese characters to write Korean. Hangul became Korea’s official national writing system in 1894.
Why might 땛 look different?
Font design changes the layout, not the character.
Hangul fonts fit letters into a square syllable cell, and typefaces may move or resize the parts. A box or fallback symbol means the font lacks support for this character; it does not signal a different character.
Technical and neutral: it suits Hangul input, text normalization, or font testing.
If it arrives alone, use the surrounding message for context; its letter structure does not identify the intended word.

Questions people ask
1Why does 땛 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
