What 뙣 means
One Korean syllable, not a complete word on its own.
Its romanized name is ddwaeh; spoken alone, it sounds roughly like “ttwet,” with a firm initial t and clipped final t. Unicode also permits 뙣; Hangul software can join those letters visually.
Hangul’s creation is dated to 1443; a 1446 guide, Hunminjeongeum, explained the letters. It offered an alternative to Chinese-character methods such as Idu, Gugyeol and Hyangchal, and became Korea’s official script in 1894.
A Korean syllable block; surrounding Korean text gives it context.

Questions people ask
1Why does 뙣 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
