What 둝 means
It has no fixed meaning on its own. Hangul is the Korean writing system, and 둝 is one of its syllable blocks. The Unicode label “dult” describes its parts: initial consonant ㄷ, vowel ㅜ, and final consonant cluster ㄾ. A Korean word or sentence that uses it supplies the meaning.
Why was Hangul created?
To make Korean easier to write and learn. Hangul first appears in records in 1443. The 1446 preface to Hunminjeongeum, an early book introducing the script, says its letters were designed for easier learning and everyday use. It explains that Chinese characters did not fit Korean speech well.
