What 뒦 means
It is one Hangul syllable block, not a word translation. Its Unicode-style name “dwigg” describes the sequence ㄷ + ㅟ + final ᆩ. The block is a written syllable; a Korean word’s meaning comes from the full word and its context.
Hangul was devised in 1443. The 1446 guide Hunminjeongeum explained the script’s purpose and principles as a writing system built around speech sounds. 뒦 follows that block-building design; it was not a separately invented sign.
Fonts can place Hangul’s consonant and vowel parts differently, changing the outline while the encoded character remains 뒦.
