What 덎 means
Dyaej is a component label, not a Korean word to translate. Unicode’s Hangul syllable names combine component names: ᄃ is the starting consonant, ᅤ the vowel, and ᆽ the ending consonant.
Hangul was devised in Joseon Korea for writing Korean, which had often been written with Chinese characters. A 1443 record describes King Sejong creating the script; the explanatory book Hunminjeongeum, published in 1446, explains its purpose and principles.

Questions people ask
1Why does 덎 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
