What 뎳 means
No fixed message alone: 뎳 is a Korean syllable block. Hangul joins jamo (Korean letters) in blocks; this one has ㄷ, ㅖ, and final cluster ㄼ.
Hangul was completed in 1443; Hunminjeongeum, its guide, explained it in 1446. It made Korean easier to write without Chinese-character literacy and spread into personal letters, books, and labels.
Older methods—Idu, Gugyeol, and Hyangchal—adapted Chinese characters for Korean. A 2009 study links Hangul's consonant order to Chinese sound patterns while treating the vowels as independently designed.

1Why does 뎳 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
